Quite a long time since my last post here on Basenotes :vrolijk_1:

Just to revive this thread, here's my latest acquisition:

A contractor-coworker of mine has a steel Rolex Daytona with a white bezel. I had to double-take when I saw the crown logo because back then I didn't know Rolex made chronographs like it. Stunning watch. He collects men's watches and has others. The other one I saw was a black Cartier Santos 100 with a black rubber strap. Lucky man!

I have always wanted to own one of those. He seems like a man who knows which watches.

Great acquisition. Do you mind telling if that's brand new?

Thank you! And nope, it was used in mint conditions. It's a 34 mm model from 1994 (I prefer it way much over the current 38 mm iterations, mostly for the date display which now due to the increased size it's next to the 3'o clock marker).

This is brand new instead :coolold:

That's from the LUC series, caliber 3.96 with the golden micro-rotor and the double barrel technology.

What do you think about this one:

Longines Heritage 1918 01.jpg

I love it and dislike it the same time. The buyers remorse is dangerous with such expensive items.

I don't really collect watches anymore, but I still love them.

I currently wear this one most often:

That Reverso is massive. Which iteration is that? It that a duoface with an additional GMT function? Oops, after I posted I saw that you listed the model.

The angle makes it look large. It fits quite well actually.

Just got my Omega Speedmaster 3520.50 yesterday. For me these are underrated gems. Day / Date / Month / 24 hr hand / Chronograph all in a 39 mm case. Very comfortable to wear.

That is a sweet watch. I’ve had a few Omegas.

I’m looking at a Longines HydroConquest for my upcoming birthday. I need a blue watch.

The HydroConquest is a great looking watch. Which model you thinking about picking up?

The blue 44 MM Quartz. I need a big watch, and I prefer quartz because I already have to fuss with keeping my Rolex Sub wound up.
