I ran a search and there are a few threads from 2014, 2015 and a couple of posts in 2022, so I'm trying my luck in sparking discussion on a new thread. (Moderators, if you'd prefer to merge my post with an older one, please feel free to do so).

I'm intrigued by this house and would love to hear from the group about your experiences! Which of their frags have you tried? How do they perform on you? Do you have any on your wish list or in your collection?

Their offerings are vast and I'm rather overwhelmed by them. I first got a sample of La Cautiva and fell madly in love with it- it's a simple berry and musk, and it felt soft and easy to wear. Unfortunately, nobody around me liked it on me. I waited a while and tried again, and suddenly, I understood why everyone commented negatively. It turns on my skin. It's hard to pinpoint what's going wrong- is it sour? sweaty? dusty? indolic? I don't know exactly but this musk doesn't work on my skin at all.
The one positive outcome is that I now know I want a simple berry-musk in my collection. I'm on the hunt for the perfect one! :)

Then I got lucky and ended up with a few more samples in a swap- Muskara Neroli, Phero J and Quilombo. The first opens beautifully, then entirely disappears in under an hour. The second is meant for layering but my experience is that it didn't elevate, prolong or otherwise improve the frags I layered with it (online reviews do not agree with me, so this appears to be my issue).
The last was simply foul! It has a small but diehard following I believe, but omg this smelled rank on me! Soured, curdled milk. Never again.
Of all 4 I have tried, all of them were skin scents that disappeared entirely within 2 hours. At their prices, I'd love a good 6 hours out of them, tbh.

Having said that, I'm a big fan of this brand's approach. I love the simple focus on 2 or 3 notes. They are well-blended and felt like quality, so it's a shame none of the ones I tried have worked for me. I'd like to try a few more, I think, though I won't be actively searching for them.
Disclaimer: due to my work, I am exposed to covid regularly and have caught it repeatedly in spite of precautions. I'm unlucky in that it totally messed up my sense of smell (part of the reason I'm not as active on these forums as I would like to be), so my experience with the house may well have been adversely affected by this!

Keen to hear the group's take on the house and its offerings. :)

I've tried I'd say about 15 all when in Argentina.
Oh wow, that's a lot to sample and not find any worth buying. Given how my limited experience has gone, I suspect it'll be the same story for me.
I've always wanted to go to Argentina; hope you enjoyed it. :)

I've always been intrigued by Biblioteca,
This is one I want to try, as well. It sounds fabulous to me because I have a soft spot for scents that remind me of books/libraries/old writing desks.

for what I remember they had no staying power.
Oh that's good to know! I thought it was just my skin that was eating their frags or I was going nose blind. Shame they don't last at that price.

I own Jacaranda and love the spruce note. There is also a sweetness from rosewood. This is very strong stuff and smells a lot like varnish in the opening, but dries down into a beautiful spruce note. It also has mad longevity and projection. The only other Fueguia perfume I've liked that I've tried is Biblioteca de Babel, and I really do like that one as well. It doesn't have the longevity or projection that Jacaranda has though.

I've always been curious about this brand, I've walked by their boutique in NYC dozens of times but always too intimidated to go in, there are just too many fragrances!

I sniffed around a few at Bergdorf once and nothing caught my attention but it wasn't a fair assessment.

I'm also interested to hear what people say here so maybe next time I can go into the boutique armed with some recommendations as a starting point.

I've tried I'd say about 15 all when in Argentina. Can't remember which ones. I thought they were pleasant, but never to the extent of wanting to buy one.
I agree - I really wanted to buy one when I was in Buenos Aires on vacation, to transport myself back through scented memory however, despite trying multiple scents, there was nothing that really grabbed me.

I was there today at the Madison location. Yes it is dizzying. I got three samples, Darwin, Vicuna and Linnaeus. These two or three note types are my favorite. Will test drive them this week. There were two others that I liked but didn’t get samples. These are very unique and probably polarizing fragrances. So far an A+ for creativity.

I need to revisit my Darwin sample. I remember it being nice, but it didn’t last on my skin as I recall.

My favorite of the samples is Linnaeus. Really quite a nice, natural polished fragrance. Will buy the 30ml.

It makes me skittish, whenever a house has so many perfumes. Like, how good can they all be and how much time has been spent on each one?
It could take me a year to find one that is full bottle worthy — 1.5 days on each sample (Parfumo states that they have/had 183 perfumes — that's 14 perfumes per year since 2010). Pierre Guillaume is in the same boat — 124 perfumes.

It is nuts but I was there a good hour and really took to this one. But you make a good point.
