Hey all!

Recently got some Jasmoneige and was wondering how do you all use it? In what creative direction and at what % of the formula? Is there a min-max range to be kept in mind?

I intend to use it in a citrus-marine formula along with Hedione HC for that ethereal citrus note lift/bloom. In my formula even when Hedione HC was around 30%, neither me nor others indicated a jasmine/floral component. Does using Jasmoneige give a noticeable floral/jasmine effect?

Curious to learn your thoughts, thanks!

I use a fairly large dose in a jasmine grandiflorum replacer base as it has a small amount of the active isomer from the methyl jasmonate in natural jasmine oil. Because products like Jasmoneige (and splendione before it was discontinued) only contain a small amount of that isomer, an overdose can be very effective, but you can use it in small amounts too - like hedione really - a lot or a little, as you like.

I would definitely not be using it alone to provide a jasmine note - except perhaps in a context similar to molecule 01 for a modernist mixture. It is definitely best as part of a combination of things.

Edited to add: I use it in cojunction with hedione (Firmenich) in that base I mentioned.
