Hello everyone! I'm Matilda, I'm 23 and I'm from Italy. I'm a very recent inductee into the world of fragrances starting in December 2022 and I've been loving it every single day, always trying to sample new scents whenever I can. I am nonbinary and although I lean towards femininity I actually find myself with almost no gender preference in fragrances (truthfully I can't really smell if a fragrance is masculine/feminine/unisex most of the time)
My collection right now consists of a D&G Light Blue Pour Homme that I got from my dad as a gift after he found it lying around in the bathroom, and a 30ml of Alyssa Ashley Musk which is the first I ever purchased myself (money is tight these days)
The first fragrance I ever owned was
Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme and Pasha de Cartier EdT (I gave that one to my boyfriend)
The first fragrance I bought with my own money was
Alyssha Ashley Musk
My favorite fragrances are
From designers, Zadig & Voltaire This is Us!, Bleu de Chanel EdT, Narciso Rodriguez For Her EdP, Salvatore Ferragamo Amo Ferragamo EdP, Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique
From niche houses, Amouage Royal Tobacco, Creed Aventus Cologne, Le Labo Bergamote 22, Diptyque Eau de Minthé, Byredo Blanche
Tell us a bit about where you live (you don't have to specify where it is if you don't want to)
I live in Florence, Italy. I consider myself fortunate to have been born in such a beautiful city rich in art, culture, cuisine, fashion and haute couture (including fragrances!) and diversity.
Tell us a bit about what you do for fun
I like to play chess and occasionally videogames, do creative writing, solve sudoku, go for walks in the city, listen to music, sample fragrances, and sample coffee (I'm as much of a coffee fanatic as a fragrance fanatic)
Tell us a bit about what you do for work
Nothing currently, but as of me posting this, I have a job interview for a café tomorrow! Fingers crossed
🎵 Your favourite band / music / album
I like too much music to list and my tastes can span from jazz to metal to EDM. I'm always trying new things
📺 Your favourite TV Shows
I unfortunately don't really watch TV shows
🎬 Your favourite Movies
Rosemary's Baby, The Devil Wears Prada, Arrival
📚 Your favourite Books
For nonfiction, The World Atlas of Coffee by James Hoffman, and for fiction, I regretfully have to admit that I'm a Harry Potter fan (less so a fan of the author)
🕹️ Your favourite video games
Dark Souls, The Binding of Isaac, Bloons Tower Defense 6
😋 Your favourite food
Probably jiaozi/gyoza
🐱 Do you have any pets?
Unfortunately not, though I would love to get a pet rabbit if I had the room and the time to care for them
🎉 What's your best party trick?
I don't go to parties!
😎 Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?
I've been compared to Kurt Cobain, Steven Wilson, and Jim Morrison (all of which are far and away too flattering for me)
I hope to grow in the fragrance world and learn more and hopefully share some of those experiences with you all!
