Alfrom would like to see a review from you on this one with a rating!

Thanks Duke and also thanks to the others interested in my opinion. Unfortunately the shop that carries LM in my area has not received its stock yet…ARRRGHH!

They are really being slow in getting this out. Been keeping it all to themselves at Premier Avenue for as long as they can.

I am hoping to get my greedy hands on some this week.

Fantastic scent, just got my split. Reminds me a lot of their other offering, Black Oud, but with lots of leather. That opening skank I've been reading about is beautiful and never off-putting to me. The skank of HL is unlike others that I've smelled like MKK. The projection... not that great. The longevity is great. As much as I'm enjoying this, I don't know if I would spend what their asking for it since it's performance is just not there. At 225 (their other extraits) I would absolutely get this, definitely worth it. But at 340... no. Not to mention, I have Black Oud and they are close cousins. Have to see if it's something that I absolutely need once my decant is gone.

One of my dogs annoyingly chewed my Black Oud sample just after it arrived but HL appears more complex to me.
It certainly performs better than many others I've tried recently.
In view of the price, I don't understand why they market it in 100ml bottles 'though as a lot of people seem to be using smaller sizes now which may encourage more sales.

Great fragrance! It has a similar vibe to it's label mate Black Oud indeed. Lots of sillage and garners compliments. I'm in hunt for a full size bottle...

I think you're right, hard leather is much more complex to me as well. HL has the beautiful oud and anise of Black Oud, infused with a very intense leather, with a very smoky strong leather dry down. And as I said, an amazing skanky opening, wow. I need to wear it more, but my first nights impression was that it quickly becomes a skin scent, albeit a long lasting one. I also thought it might have been olfactory fatigue.

The 100ml size was a strong selling point for me at the time with black oud, but now a smaller size with an accompanying significant reduction in price would be tough to resist.

Not fatigue. It went to a skin scent on me also. This isn't always a bad thing though. The opening is def skanky, and then you get clobbered with leather. Montecristo does the skank so much better. I think monte is my reference skank from now on. On first wearing, I have to say that I just like it, but it could possibly be a love after a few more wears.

You're welcome. I got my split from him, it's an AMAZING scent. Earlier I said I liked it, having worn it twice more and sprayed a female friend as well to get the observers perspective, I can say it's truly amazing. The leather is like no other I've worn (I own M, Leather Oud, and several others), much dirtier and less refined. Then there's the booziness, which lasts through the first two phases. It is exactly what I was looking for and didn't even realize it. It's very rich, not sure if it's a scent that I can wear everyday. But much like it's brother Black Oud, I've been wanting to return to it over and over.

Next time it pops up in a split don't miss out.

Palm beach is THE best splitter. His split bottles look so good you don't even need a full bottle. His labeling is by far the best I have come across. He really puts a lot of effort into it. Don't sleep on hard leather either. I wore it to work yesterday and loved it. It's def growing on me.

It's an amazing work scent, isn't it? Two sprays to the chest and outstanding longevity means I was still enjoying it 9 hours later as I got in my car. I was worried it would be inappropriate for the office, found it was perfect as a skin scent. And yep, palmbeach never fails to impress
