Where did you get this information from? It is being sold everywhere online and in the shops. I bought my bottle 2 years ago and the sillage and longevity are way over medium.
I didn’t suggest that you can’t get GGA. However, I believe what is out there is it. I’m well backed up. If you are not, this is what opportunity sounds like when it’s knocking at your door. 😉

Ditto. I loved this leather and was surprised it was discontinued but I discovered that Gucci goes through fragrances in and out of production with the speed of Eric Lidell.
Eric Lidell. One of my all-time heroes, and a name all too seldom mentioned. Thank you! (y)❤️

Yep. Other than GGA, the original GG and it’s other flankers never caught my attention. However, I love the medicinal bandage, woody, leathery, machine-oil like vibe of GGA. YMMV, as GGA is known to be polarizing and not that well received by the mainstream. That just means more for the rest of us that appreciate it for what it is.

It's discontinued, but isn't well-liked outside of the online fragrance community, so it's still commercially available some places.

I doubt there was reformulation for what was likely one bottling run.

Could be that some of the alcohol in your 2ml sample has evaporated in the 5 years you’ve had it and so become slightly more concentrated. It can happen with samples.
Purely anecdotal, but I've noticed this happen with a lot of decanted samples. Oftentimes I'll see some moisture form on the inside of the cap (outside the sprayer). It could be in my head, but over time the fragrance seems to get a bit stronger, presumably burning off some of the alcohol. I've noticed this when comparing my decants of CdG Black and Yatagan to the bottles I subsequently bought - the overall smell is very similar, but the decanted versions feel a bit more intense.

The strange thing about GGA being discontinued, if it indeed has been, is that usually a discontinued fragrance disappears from high street retailers first then becomes an online/discounter only product. I saw it in 2 major UK retailers earlier this year however it is available online at a considerable discount. I got my bottle for around 50 GBP for 90ml.

This is, however, in line with the thought that GGA just didn't sell well; it would make sense that existing stock would hold out for a long time because of reduced demand. And it appears that comments about discontinuation have been around for around two years now, which is a surprisingly long time. Still, though, it looks like the other discontinued flankers are gone for good: I tried to get a bottle of Gucci Guilty Oud, and it looks like that one's gone for good.

Still available on Harvey Nichols, notino, and Selfridges. Also seen plenty of stock in stores recently too. :) plenty left if anyone needs a bottle.

I will have to try it again. Maybe it was a bad tester. Thanks for confirming that it is still a 'good' one!
It didn't work for me either, even if I appreciate what it's going for. On my skin, there's a screaming medicinal / plasticky / bandaid note in the opening that gives me a headache. Other than that, I like the core leather accord and the deep dry down is very nice. I've seen quite a few folks reporting similar reactions, so I assume there's some kind of note sensitivity at play. Still a fascinating release to see from a house like nowadays Gucci.

Fragheads loved it, but most people violently hated it, just check the reviews on Fragrantica. I guess it's not that big a surprised it was axed.

I totally get the bandaid note as well, as far as I'm concerned, that's just what it smells like. Thankfully, I like that sort of thing. : )

I don't get an antiseptic note at all this, and it still has the best drydown of any fragrance that I've worn. I just love the second day skin scent, as well. I will say that it works best in cold, dry weather.

Love love love GGA, IMO one of the best designer releases in recent years. I get not so much a bandaid note, but rather a creosote note and ski tar/wax, it brings back childhood memories. The leather is soft and smooth, everything is well blended and I don't find GGA either sharp or pungent. I wore it yesterday to work, it was +85F and I thought it was very wearable and pleasant. Not a "beast", but lasted through the work day and for the first 3 hours I would get occasional wafts every now and then.

I'm curious if anyone has any insight or context around the specific Firmenich aromachems that were mentioned a lot in the original marketing materials: supposedly Morillas used a custom leather note called "Woodleather" and some kind of extract or derivative from the nootka cypress that was branded "Goldenwood". I know there are lots of other ingredients like birch tar, "three types of patchouli oils", vetiver, and god knows what else, but I've always wondered if it was one of these new ingredients that irks my smell receptors so much.
