Hi, guys!

Let discuss about gingerbread accord. I would like create something sweet with bitterness, like glazed gingerbread, with a hint of burnt sugar.

The ideas:

Corylone (maple lactone)

Vanilla abs ( or Ethyl maltol better?)

Ginger CO2

Ginger eo

Cinnamic alc

Orange crystal

Cinnamon eo

Cardamon

Methyl antranilat

Peru balsam

Nutmeg

Tabanon

Maybe methyl-5-furfural ?

Maybe 2-Acetylpyrazine ( by the way instead this i use natural oud Reiu, which smells as bread)

Vetiver bourbon ( with sweet facet)

Edit me, please, and give vector for this. Help please )

I wouldnt like use iso-e-super or hedione (perhaps in vain)
What is blender can be instead? For diffusive and long effect? Which of musc better for gurmanic scent? (With cream effect? Edenolid? )

do you have a CAS number for this Corilon?

While working on my client's Baklava fragrance, I've found that the hardest part has been the bready doughy part.
I've been working on a pie crust accord as an afterthought to a rhubarb pie accord, and my initial combination is definitely missing that bready doughy, and in this case crumbly, texture:

delta decalactone 60
vanillin 40
tabanon 20
maltol 10
cinnamic alcohol 10
tonka bean abs 6
cinnamic aldehyde 2
sulfurol (milky type) 2

The Sulfurol and Maltol are probably helping the most to suggest pie crust, but there is something missing. Maybe some of the nutty materials I wouldn't dare keep around pure.

Have you tried 2,3-dimethyl pyrazine? I haven’t really played with it too much yet but it’s very savoury and nutty, I think it could work well in a pie crust accord

This does look like it could help, but I wish I could source it < kilo somewhere besides PW.

I’m not sure, that i will successful with 2-Acetylpyrazine, cos this about white bread. Oud was ok and economic (even dilution 5% too much), but i think i can’t buy this oud again. As all natural exotic things are not permanent.
What do you think about blender?

The original is a marvel - the latest is a little bland because the 140g of sandalwood is now gone - but it is still a nice gentle modern perfume. If you ever see a vintage - get it!

I’ve made my own gingerbread accord with the following:

Barley Roasted Extact
Coumarin
Vanillin
Cinnamon
Ethyl Maltol
Methyl Cyclo Pentanolone
Ginger
Sandalwood

The barley, coumarin, cinnamon and vanillin gives the sweet cookie/biscuit smell. The burnt caramel comes from the ethyl maltol and methyl cyclo pentalone, while the sandalwood tones down the harsheness of the ginger and smooths it out in my opinion.

White lotus used to have a gingerbread accord on their website, I made it and it was incredibly realistic! From memory it had the following naturals:
Orange sweet
Ginger co2
Vanilla abs
Vetiver
Then small amounts of:
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
All spice

I'm sure I used sandalwood too but it was the vetiver that really gave it that gooey molasses gingerbread realness

Oh thanks, I might have to make it again! I remember it was sublime and was surprised at how you can't detect the orange so much even though it uses such a large quantity. I scaled it down too using prediluted materials as this is a lot to experiment with! I wonder what acs might hold this together without crushing it, any ideas?

Acetoin and benzyl alcohol helps a lot for the breadiness
Methyl Cyclopentenolone powder (CAS: 765-70-8) - the other Maple Lactone, not the one mentioned here by Agonhoun (CAS: 80-71-7), smells exactly like bread-crumbs.
