You have a nice wardrobe. One I'd suggest is Comme des Garçons Black.

I'd also add CDG Kyoto.

You already have Encre Noire, Bentley for Men Absolute, and Gucci Guilty Absolute, which would have been recommendations for decent prices. Definitely agree Private Label is a wonderful one for this if you can find a good price.

I never thought of Ummagumma as being nuclear. In fact I wore it the other day and my client couldn’t even smell it. He caught a whiff of it for a brief moment and was like “hey are you wearing a fragrance? I feel like could smell something good for a second”. Granted I never wear more than one or two sprays max but I always felt it was rather polite and quiet but sits close to the skin for a long while.

That’s odd.
When it first came out, 2017 or 2018, not sure… I sampled it inside my car, and sprayed 2-3 times… it was deep dark incense leather-chocolate, that (dark-iodine like) saffron note, something animalic in the background… it was harsh.
Have not tried it since then. Perhaps time to sample again.

I would look for a stern Chypre.

Something like Aramis 900 or Boucheron Pour Homme.

I would think a serious but introverted guy wouldn't want to draw too much attention to himself with a fragrance, but simultaneously, doesn't want to wear some easy, inoffensive, mainstream, mass-appealing scent either.

Azzaro Pour Homme L'eau
This is old school fresh, in the vein of 80s classics Armani Eau Pour Homme and Aramis Tuscany, but far fresher and modernized thanks to notes like yuzu. It smells very fresh, but not a "freshie" like Acqua di Gio, Nautica Voyage, or anything "blue." It's not a mass-appealing scent like ADG, Curve, Bleu de Chanel, etc, but it's not offensive or challenging either. When it dries down, there's the faintest hint of cigarette smoke in the distance background. It's a unique scent but subtle as well.

I might have to get a back up of this bottle, because longevity and sillage isn't great, so extra sprays are necessary. But it's one the few fragrances that I've come across that doesn't smell like you're trying to attract people or smell "sexy," but also isn't challenging people's olfactory sensibilities.

Azzaro Pour Homme L'eau

Damn good cheapie and probably my favourite Azzaro PH flanker, I really wasn't expecting much when I read it was a version of Azzaro with yuzu and other citruses, but the execution was fantastic!

Completely agree. However, I was disappointed at first, as I bought it thinking it was going to be similar to Rive Gauche, which at the time, was hyped up as being the alpha and omega of masculine perfumery and the barbershop genre. Once I tried Azzaro L'eau, I knew that it couldn't be like RG. I was underwhelmed by this simplistic lemon and yuzu scent.

Only when I gave it several more wearings did I see how subtle and nuanced the dry down was. The previously mentioned faint cigarette smoke in the background and then I recognized shades of Aramis minus the funk.
