Just thought Basenoters might like to know about this fragrance:

I'm surprised how good this stuff smells considering the price. It comes as a 8ml roller-ball oil and is extremely cheap: I paid £4 on a street market but you can get it here for around £2.

The smell is rich, sweet and woody and very easy to wear with good longevity. It blends well with sour ouds like Le Labo Oud 27 or the Byredo Oud fragrances, for instance. It's synthetic of course but well blended. It won't smell like real oud to the experts but is a good perfume in it's own right IMO.

Do you mean rotten roots? I wouldn't describe it like that at all. I wouldn't say it has any kind of challenging smell.

Your English is fine! :)

Ah, yes, I did see that version around: rotten roots sounds interesting, though!

The version I've got is silky- smooth, rich and very wearable. Well worth having...

Thanks for the tip. I've smelled several synthetic dehn al ouds (=oud oil), ranging from horrid to quite good. So this one should be filed under the "good" - too bad Arabian frags are difficult to find here in DC.
