Decanting bottles - do you clean them before use?

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I don't think there's one anywhere else. I would like to start decanting just to not have too much fragrance that is not being used.

I was wondering what's the best way to clean the decanting bottles before getting the fragrance in? "Washing" it with perfumers alcohol and spraying some perfumers alcohol through it?

I don't know if people even clean them before decanting, but I assume I never know how they were produced, so better safe than sorry.

If it's the wrong place, could it be moved to the right one, please?

Hi!

That's a good shout - rarely have cleaned out atomisers prior to filling - shock horror face!

Though yes - I can imagine the perfs alcohol being very good for this. Lol not water or even soapy water - takes forever for the atomisers to dry out of the tubes and atomiser head!

I'm just wondering whether I should go for Perfumers Alcohol or Isopropyl. I just thought Perfumers Alcohol is a safer choice just in case there was any left over in the glass when pouring fragrance.

As long as you keep dust from entering your bottles, you are good without prewashing.
