The subtlety is potentially the mark of good surgery.

In the olden days of yore, movie stars and rich women in general were "beautified" and stayed "refreshed" in subtle manners, despite the fact that cosmetic surgery was still in diapers.

Nowadays there is a wealth of much advanced techniques, yet the "enhancements" and the "refreshments" tend to be obvious and, (too) many times, terrifying.

Though I can tell you something about the 60s, dahhhling. I'm definitely bolder and much less apologetical, yet not any wiser, not even a little bit...

Whether through surgery or photoshop, her tip appears to have been slightly narrowed and lifted. The subtlety is potentially the mark of good surgery.

But, yeah, a lot of the effect is other stuff: hair down, contouring makeup under the cheekbones, highlighting of the cupid’s bow, widening of the eyebrows, etc.

And 40 is not old. Come back with that when you’re collecting Social Security.

I've always wondered if Olivia Hussey (considered to be the absolute best Juliet ever in the 1968 film) got work done when she was relatively young. She was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world after that movie, but sometime around the 70's/80's, her looks seemed to change significantly....at least to me. Her mouth looked different and her chin looked different. She went from having a fairly small face to a long face. And it became even more pronounced after she started aging. She doesn't even look like the same person to me, yet I can't find a single thing online about her ever having such surgery.

It's possible. But you have to keep in mind that she was barely 16 when she made that movie. The French call it la beauté du diable because it's fleeting, and fickle.

It's possible. But you have to keep in mind that she was barely 16 when she made that movie.

Yes, actually 15. That's why I can't decide if she has or not. She had very full lips when she was a teenager (as does her daughter India Eisley). But then her lips seemed to get noticeably thinner, while her mouth got wider. And she went from a rounded chin when she was younger to a pointed chin. It might all be natural, but she just doesn't look the same to me.
