Conquering Fragrancenet: A Guide to Navigating The Biggest Discounter You Love to Hate

Haven't tried fragrancenet yet, my only order with a discounter so far has been with fragrancex. No issues with that order.

I'm in a similar situation to Buysblind - fx's warehouse is literally close enough for me to drive to and pick up if they offered that (they don't). However, I did NOT pay for expedited shipping, and it was delivered to me the day following the order being placed (overnight!).

FYI, fragrance.com (aka fragrancenet) also has at least 1 brick and mortar store. Near me, there's one in the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove. If you REALLY need to get your hot little hands on something RIGHT NOW, and they have it in stock, and you're willing to pay a little more (they don't offer the same discounts that they do on the site - you'll basically pay their "before coupon" price if you go to the physical store), it's not a completely terrible option.

This is really, REALLY good, BB!! Thank you very much!

A quick suggestion: Could you include instructions how to search for used/returned bottles within their Ebay store? I believe they are tagged "95% full." When they dump a bunch of bottles, there's some incredibly good deals to be had.

+1 Also wondering about this

By the way, it appears that Fragrance net has lowered down the threshold for free shipping to $49.

Hi everyone and thanks BuysBlind!

I've discovered a little Google Express hitch: Sometimes Google Express Fragrancenet says that a certain fragrance is not available at all at fragrancenet.

But going directly to fragrancenet the fragrance in question is available on the website. I had this experience three different times, there different occasions.

I conclude that if it seems unavailable at Google Express Fragrancenet, go directly to the Fragrancenet website to doublecheck. Unfortunately, when I discovered the desired fragrancenet fragrance directly, I could never find it back at Google Express Fragrancenet even by trying various search options.

Probably rare but its happened with me...

This just happened to me - posted about it on this forum a few days ago. Mine was a tester that was almost sold out, so perhaps when the stock gets low they take it off the GE page?

In any case, great thread, and another vote for sticky. It took me about four months to figure out what this thread could have told me in about ten minutes. Thanks for the great and informative post, Buysblind!

Today for the first time I was charged sales tax on a Fragrancenet order (I do not live in the state they are located). Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, they have started imposing sales taxes for all the states (actually this is from US government, they want to charge taxes on online shopping - they want to emulate Canada).

But am curious - have Luckyscent TwistedLily et al started imposing sales tax as well for out-of-state US orders?

No, but I haven't purchased from them recently. More and more online retailers are adding sales tax to purchases, so it doesn't surprise me.

Fragrancenet The WEBSITE Vs. Fragrancenet via GOOGLE EXPRESS : Why everything else that I've written is now IRRELEVANT! :rolleyesold:

Fairly recently, Fragrancenet has become available through Google Express.

Just a quick update: unfortunately, FragranceNet is not unavailable anymore on Google Express.... Bye-bye free and fast ship over $15, bye-bye 20% off for first shoppers, bye-bye easy checkout and google express insured purchase, bye-bye easy to use app with 37% discount by default...

Yes no longer on Google Express... Yesterday I got the 37% off though ... Google your fragrance choice and Fragrance Net... If Fragrance Net has it, it comes up as a search result...click should bring you to Fragrance Net 37% off.

If not, coupon code GPYA37 is always active to get 37% ;)
I just meant the Gexp app was better designed imo than FragNet's

I usually Google something like "fragrancenet 37 coupon" and one of the popular online coupon code websites always had the current one, I just placed an order a couple weeks ago.

So I just now tried that code and it came up invalid, but when I tried the method of searching for a perfume I know they have thru Google, it came up with the 37% discount, but I couldn’t see any coupon code displayed on the checkout page. Oh well, as long as it works one way or another!
