Anyone know any eBay / online retailers that can ship club de nuit intense man to Canada?
Any input is much appreciated.

Since I keep hearing that this clone has the Birch Smokey aspect of older Aventus which I'm really curious about since my 2014 batches have no smoke..

Does the smoke to you guys make a big difference in the smell?

@ Cireal. Awesome take. I don't nearly have the olfactory vocabulary to explain all that. Definitely the way I would describe it if I did. Thanks for giving your take. I heartily agree. Also, for the guy who asked.....yes, the smokey (burnt wood) or birch note can be completely awesome when it is matched with the fruity blend. For me, its easy to think of it as a guitar or musical chord. If all the notes are hit right it sounds/smells awesome and they compliment each other.

That being said. I think Club De Nuit intense man does this the best. It smells really, really good. Alternatively,

I'll just use Glenn Perri's Unpredictable Adventure as an example.

The Charred wood type smell is dominant in that fragrance except at the beginning. That blast of fruitiness isn't strong or blended enough, so it can end up with you smelling like you just spilled some synthetic ashiness on yourself. It's obvious its intended to be like Aventus, so that's why I think people have favored it over ISP 2 Pure which is just overly Vanillic and synthetically femininely sweet by comparison.

Club De Nuit Intense doesn't suffer from ISP 2 Pure or GP UA's problems because it seems to have a better quality of ingredients and its blended better. I'm not sure if this is the correct vocabulary, but it just plays that chord right. It's in the ballpark of something like Polo Black maybe for strength and duration. Maybe Bleu De Chanel.....but that's pushing it a bit. It's a decent EDT that you can spray pretty liberally. Even then, it stays pleasant for a long time compared to all the other clones. Even Aventus gets that olfactory fatigue thing, so its about what you would expect from that. It's the best of the clones. The only other clone that is worth mentioning with Armaf's is Afnan's supremacy silver which Cireal explained as good as anyone could in my opinion.

Cheers Todd!
Unpredictable Adventure is too synthetic and ashy. If you want to smell like a campfire that has just been blown out then go for it! I found it cloying to my nose.

LOL....Agreed. It was the best though, just like ISP 2 Pure was before that, then Fresco before that.

I can see without having wafted the better alternatives why people would think the previous lesser clones by Reyane and Glenn Perri are ok though. Then, someone comes along and says no, this is better, then this is better, then this is better etc. Eventually, you are just like, "Crap, I can't keep buying all of these", so you just stick with what you got.

I'm doubtful there will be anything as good as the Afnan and Armaf's though. Those two are pretty up there with what I'd expect to find, with the Armaf being the most ideal for a few reasons that have been mentioned. it's not surprising for me though because I've gotten some pretty insanely awesome clones from the middle east before. Surrati's tuscan leather and Oud Wood oils are way on point, if you can be ok with an oil dupe.

This Armaf company is such a gem..........especially with this Derby House blanche I just got. They weren't kidding when they said this was an absolute dead ringer of Silver Mountain Water. Wow.. Also, the presentation, boxing, etc. is great. Ingredients seem to be of good to high quality. I'm glad all you other guys have spoken up about it, not to prove others wrong, but to hopefully give that guy whose just coming along on this clone fiesta, some good advice about where to start. There's no reason to go through all the other clones if you just start with the Armaf. I hope that new guy who comes along reads everyone's advice, with the caveat of June 2 ,2015. As of this date, this is the most ideal clone.

Its too bad that you can not sample CdNIM so you can find out what it smells like and how it performs. Wait! If you sampled it, then you would know what it smells like and how it performs before you had to buy it.....Nevermind.....Go Texas

It's amusing how these new "clone hype" threads are conversations between a handful of new members that just recently joined. Odd, that. :)

There are some stores in Dallas you can smell it at, I believe. I bought it blind. It was my best blind buy ever, I think.

Yes.

I think there are some new BN members from Texas, new Fragrantica members from Texas, a local shop in Texas, an Ebay seller in Texas, and an Amazon seller in Texas. I guess Texas is a pretty big state that loves its Armaf.... and its football.

Look everybody, I have no vested interest in Armaf or Creed. I just started this thread to let those people who are interested in buying "cheap knockoffs" as you call them, hear my personal experience with Armaf Cdni. I think it's hilarious how many people on here get so defensive about Creed, almost like they're magic elixirs that cannot be replicated. I have worn Aventus from the beginning, and I still will continue to buy and wear Aventus, but I have to give credit to Armaf, they have replicated my signature scent very well, and did it with an edt that cost a fraction of the price. If you have not tried Armaf CdNi then how can you even make a judgement on it, I have, and no, it is not better than Aventus, but it's a fine fragrance and I think it's unfair to just write this one off as just another "cheap knockoff" if you've never gave it a sniff.

No one is being defensive about Creed, and certainly no one is suggesting that they are "magic elixirs that cannot be replicated". My point has simply been that you cannot successfully replicate a fragrance with cheap, synthetic ingredients. The quality will not be there.

It's a cheap knockoff. I am not going to pay for a fragrance that will undoubtedly be inferior to the original, just to say that I have tried it. I am content with paying for Aventus and have no need or desire to pay for knockoffs.

However, if you enjoy those knockoffs, that's perfectly fine. To each his own. They are not for me.
