I know how a lot of you on Basenotes feel about clones, I'm in the same boat, but after watching a review vid from Fragboy_Stewie I blind bought a bottle of this for $40 shipped. I've now had some time to the test it the past few days, and here are some of my findings. First off, let me say that Creed Aventus is one of my all time fave scents and I have never bought or smelled any other so called Aventus wannabe before. The first thing that impressed me was the quality, this juice is high end and doesn't feel cheap or smell synthetic at all, I would say quality wise it's on par with most frags in the $80-$100 dollar range. The initial blast is that fruity-smokey bomb that I love so much with my Aventus! To me it opens exactly like my M01 and W01 batches of Aventus, only thing is the Armaf has a noticeable lemony note in the open that is not in Aventus. I did a side by side comparison and sprayed one hand with Aventus and the other with Club de Nuit Intense Man and gave my girlfriend an impromptu blind nose test. Like me, she loves Aventus, I was amazed when she could not tell the difference, even after dry down these two are identical in smell, actually the Armaf seems to hold on to the pineapple note a bit longer on my skin, but both smell identical after 15 minutes on me. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the job Armaf did at capturing the smell and feel of my favorite cologne, and I wanted to see if it would get me the compliments that my Aventus does so often, so of course my next test was to wear it to work. I have a carpet cleaning business and I am in and out of peoples houses all day, and most of them are women, so basically, a pretty good scenario for feedback. The first day I received 2 unsolicited compliments, one coming nearly 6 hours into my day! Much like my Aventus, olfactory fatigue is the same with this one, because I had assumed that it was long gone by the time I got that compliment! This is my first bottle from the house of Armaf, and I am now really intrigued. Let me know if any of you out there have had tried this stuff, I'd be interested to hear your opinions. For me, it will never replace my Aventus, but instead will be my little fling on the side.

Glad you had a positive experience with the lesser priced fragrance. Personally I'm content staying with Aventus.

Yeah. I ordered Derby Clubhouse Blanche because of liking Club De Nuit intense Man so much. I'm still waiting on it to come in the mail as I heard its a dead ringer to Silver Mountain Water. I've been reviewing all these clones and picked up Afnan which I found to be a pretty exact copy of my batch of Aventus. That being said, I actually prefer Armaf Club De Nuit. This is better than Aventus in many respects. Don't get me wrong, Aventus is a special fragrance, no doubt. Its just cost prohibitive. I absolutely cannot feel ok just lavishly using the stuff, which I want to do with a fragrance I like so much. All the other clones smell "cheap" to me. Not as much Afnan, but the Afnan is "Fruity" one dimensional, just like my batch of Aventus. Club De Nuit has more complexity than the current "fruitier" batches of Aventus that eschewed the smokier nuances. Gotta give it to Stewie for hitting a home run with this one!

I have Derby Club House Blanche and it smells darn near as good as Silver Mountain Water. Tag HIm Pour Homme does a really good job of cloning Bleu de Chanel as well.

I have heard great things about Club de Nuit Intense Man and am curious. I own Aventus(one of my favorites), Insurrection II Pure, and Unpredictable Adventure. I really like them all.

Soo, I was able to get my nose on AB Spirit Silver today and I am so glad I did not blind buy this disaster. At first spray, it's about 90% similar to Aventus, but after just a few minutes I start to smell a burnt tire note that is very off putting, that and black licorice. Club de Nuit Intense Man starts Aventus, and stays Aventus all the way and even after dry down. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am actually starting to prefer the Armaf after dry down over my Aventus now. I'm making it a mission now to sample all the Aventus clones I can and see how they measure up, it's interesting and somewhat fun.

Try Insurrection II Pure and Glenn Perri Unpredictable Adventure, I find them to be really nice clones of Aventus.

OP-my findings of Club De Nuit Intense are about on par with yours as well....with the exception of longevity.(didn't seem like I got more than 4 or 5hrs) BUT like you stated....with scents like Aventus I also tend to get anosmic to it quickly, so kind of tough for me to judge longevity on the Armaf. And yes, I've owned nearly all the clones with the exception of Silver Supremacy.....and this one is far and away the best so far with regard to capturing the complete scent profile/essence of the Creed. Very good juice,(and presentation!)especially for the price!

I agree with you on the AB Spirit Silver comment. It does turn musty/tar smelling after a few mins and becomes a skin scent.

I've been getting good feedback on Armaf CdN Intense Man from both men and women. Mostly women give me compliments and they are ecstatic when doing so lol.

If you do, I would love to hear your take on the comparison of both. I still think that with the availability of the Armaf vs. how hard it is to track down and pay the extra shipping(at least in US)for the Afnan.....it can't possibly be worth it.

I get about the same if not a little less longevity than my Aventus, and yes olfactory fatigue is real with both of these scents. I got complimented long after I could smell it on myself with both.

I've used both Armaf and Afnan Supremacy Silver. I don't think I'd recommend the Afnan given that Armaf is more available, less expensive, and really good quality. I also have given to preferring it to Aventus though. It's much more wearable for me. I like the quality and scent profile. That being said, Afnan has some particulars I like. To me, it smells exactly like my batch of Aventus, except the first 30 seconds or so of alcohol blast. That first 30 seconds is very alcoholic and it takes a bit for it to settle. When it does, its Aventus to my nose. Obviously, that's a big plus for it. However, it is obviously not a well blended EDP because of the alcohol, or maybe it just seems that way because Aventus is so good. The feeling I was left with was it wasn't as high quality as the Armaf. Even though it matched Aventus so much. The Longevity for it was the same as Aventus, and after several hours I could tell it had a more synthetic-ness to it. I've heard tell of people getting this with batches of Aventus too. I realize its a lot to drop 80 bucks on it when you haven't sampled it. I personally think I'll be wearing Armaf Club De Nuit the most and its my favorite.............but Afnan has a lot going for it as well. I own them all and were I to have only one......it would be Club De Nuit intense. I'll be interested in hearing Cereal's take since he's finally smelled it. He's been preaching Armaf longer than anyone I believe, so his comparisons to all the other cologne's are probably a very worthy watch (when he posts again on youtube).

Afnan starts off a little synthetic in the first few minutes. I compared it to my K04 batch yesterday and it was not as sweet. There was more pineapple in the Aventus K04 batch. Once the dry down happened, the Afnan became a lot more faint compared to the Aventus. I can smell the birch and oak moss in the Afnan with a tiny bit of apple/pineapple. The Afnan didn't last that long on my skin but the time it did, it was soft. Afnan did smell fruity when I whaffed it but if I directly put my nose over it, it was mossy with a tad bit of pineapple/apple.

Today, I tried Afnan on one hand and a current Aventus batch on the other. I do not know the specific batch number since it was just sample from the Creed counter at Neiman's. There was no batch number on the tester. Now this particular batch is less fruity so the comparisons were definitely closer. The Afnan had more of a sharper smell to it but ALMOST identical with the Aventus in the first 20 mins. They both dry down about the same with the Afnan being a little more synthetic.

I also tried a Armaf CdN and Afnan comparison. The Armaf starts off stronger and more tart while the Afnan is lighter and less fruity. Afnan has little burnt/smokey smell to it. I seriously thought for a second I put on my Aventus sample on my hand. The average person would not distinguish Afnan from Aventus if it's by itself and to many, probably even next to Aventus. I was shocked on how close Afnan smelled to Aventus!! The closest I've ever smelled in the opening of any clone. Now I'm only going by the Aventus batches I've put my nose on which has been around 5 or so.

The dry down for the Armaf CdN is definitely almost my K04 batch and according to others, spot on to their batches. The Armaf CdN was more enjoyable than the Afnan because the depth to it. There was more going on and it wasn't as flat smelling. Armaf also lasted longer on the skin compared to Afnan. It was more robust and masculine than the Afnan. If the Afnan was $30, I'd give it a go but it's not therefore it will be background noise.

Overall the Afnan was the closest representation to a less fruity Aventus but then fades to a soft slightly synthetic mossy/birch Aventus. I've tried all the blatant clones at this point and Armaf takes it. The Afnan was impressive for the short duration it lasted but it is not worth the money you pay in my opinion.
