Francesca Bianchi - Byzantine Amber

It's rich and heavy, as all her perfumes are?
Detectable leather aroma chemichals?
Other aroma chemicals overdose?
Musks overdose?
Amber, or "amber" - for those who don't really love amber?
Thick and opulent?

Maybe this will be my first Fracesca Bianchi.
Nonetheless, I have to mention that I love Angel's Dust (including its name), but it still seems a little too sweet, even though I like the sweetness.

I got a sample of it recently, wore it, and it is akin to a mix of amber absolute and animalic musk thats quite front and forward.

Its not sweet, even less sweet than AA, middle bodied, not heavy on leather in my understanding of it, but it smells horsey (musk) and, for those who dont like animalics, might drone brains out.
Doesnt bother me though but probably can be considered musk overdose.

I am not a fan of ambers that are golden smelling plank of cedar, and this is not something i will buy personally.

Not thick and opulent in my understanding.

Among the few ambers i, without knowing ordered were:

Calling all angels - excellent replacement to AA. Dont know why fans were so full of tears when excellent replacement existed since 2013 for reasonable money.

Sanctified rose - anotch darker and less sweet amber absolute.

Perfumum ambar - amber with spices, this is what Ambre loup wants to be when it grows up.

I love the animalics. But I hate with passion that light, fluffy, fuzzy and dry texture of "white musks" overdose. So cheap!

i think there might be some, but i cant detect them very clearly. I think that a touch of sweetness neutralizes dryness ur talking about. It does smell rather natural to me.

No, not too much, just these ambers are very simple to me. Just a personal preference.

Dont lose faith, its not on a level of salome, not sure if it can be considered an amber or not, out of amber i know only Night Call by Ex Nihilo can be considered thick and opulent.

calling all angels on the test i did is equally good to AA so i would suggest trying it. Other is Anette neufer, can be purchased through Equacion Naturals, and owner provides samples as well, so you could order other ambers as well to test.
