Buying PDM Carlisle: Is this the newer, reformulated batch or one of the old ones?

I'm looking to buy PDM Carlisle, and after everything I've heard about the reformulated version with the higher alcohol content, I'm trying to find the older, 77% version. I found a listing and am interested in buying it, but I'm unsure as to whether or not it is one of the newer or older batches. The batch code is 0500156, produced December 7, 2020. The box DOES say 77% alcohol, HOWEVER, I've heard of many instances in which the box says 77% alcohol, but the bottle says 82%. Could anyone help me out? Does anyone know the exact month/period the reformulation occurred for Carlisle?

Have you owned Carlisle before? If not, I wouldn't worry about which iteration you get as they're equally good. As for the 77% alcohol, if that's what it says on the box, it should be the same inside the packaging.

I've seen so many people complain about the longevity and synthetic smell of the 81% version that I'd really prefer to not risk it haha. And as for the box issue, sadly that isn't the case. Many of my friends have had this happen to them, and I've seen people encountering this on Reddit as well as this site. PDM reformulated it then proceeded to use the older boxes, leading to confusion, as many bottles had 81% stamped on the bottom, but were in boxes that had "77%" printed on them.

Perhaps then if possible, the best case would be to get a sample of the version you're interested in and have no doubt.
