An interview with Rajesh Balkrishnan was just posted on Fragrantica. He mentioned that another collaboration with Dmitry is underway. The fragrance will be called Santa Sangre, he called it a "Unique Floriental".

Surprised he is not making it an evocative :tongue:

Wearing Sayat, and it is like a seriously toned down amaretto, with pudding like vanilic sweetness and soft woods. Expected more.

On/Off-Topic:

I low-key hate when Russian Adam does those "only 5 bottles remaining!" Instagram story posts. I get it, he wants to move the last dwindling amount of old releases but it creates hype buying for no reason.

Luckyscent had 6+ bottles of Baikal Gris for the longest and of course today they're sold just because. I was waiting for LuckyScent to get the bortnikoff colognes so I could buy the 1 or 2 i wanted and get myself a baikal gris backup. No dice.

Fortunately, I remembered there was a seller on ebay selling a new bottle for $220, and I was able to make an offer at $200 to grab it near retail. I'm assuming he was just happy to sell it off after holding it so long, but he didn't get the memo it was sold out. Fortunately for me I was able to grab a backup bottle for basically retail, unfortunately for him he wasn't able to scalp another 100 bucks off it.

I just did very similar buying a full bottle of Mysterious Oud after purchasing recently a 9ml and absolutely became infatuated with it. He had a bottle for $290.00 and it was accepted at $275.00 which I felt was a fair price. He perhaps had been holding it for quite awhile being it was a series one edition.

I am hoping the new colognes will be a mainstay in the Bortnikoff line for awhile as I have been on a buying spree lately.

How is mysterious Oud? I saw luckyscent still has some up. I’ve been eyeing it for awhile but I don’t see many people talk about it.
