I love the way Douleur smells I just hate how nuclear it is and how it stays on clothes and skin through multiple washes, also headache inducing due to strenght. It really sucks when a perfume smells great but it's difficult to wear due to performance being way up there.

I see it precisely the same. It's the most radiant thing and I can't wear it for the most time as it's almost impossible to enjoy my other perfumes then. A spritz on a smelling strip literally fills our whole house with aquatic rose. I like it, but more as a piece of scent art.

Douhler for me is very much an art peice work I have certain scenarios where I wear it but yes the nuclear radiation of it makes it very specific

I actually hated both Douleurs. The second one was worse than the first. I couldn't even wash off the scent.
:).... being a fan of it (the first one), I still can understand you very well.
Very, very, veryvery well...

It's the beastliest beast... Yet there are some current woody-ambery things that come quite close... which are more boring at least.... (just my two cents...)

I just did a one-shot fragrance for Douleur a few days ago and left for work, eventually, my partner had to suffer all day at home because of its beastly sillage.

New O/E that smells different. Should be at the least interesting, perhaps amazing. Almost never wear the old O/E, so this will be worth sampling.

I enjoyed old O/E pretty much. How different? Please share more thoughts.

Wearing this again today - my sample is almost gone. Amazing scent, just insane longevity. There is something in it that makes me slightly nauseous, when I first spray it on. Not strongly and not the smell - some chemical I must be allergic to.

It’s ok i wouldn’t say it’s something you should go out of ur way to get unless ur just craving “rarity” it’s not like the current bogue stuff at all

Anyone who has/had KER could say that the grapes is prominent there. I'm keen on the musty effect of grape scent, but there aren't many perfumes with grape-y scent, let alone one that could stand out with that kind of olfactive facet.
