That's a very decent price.I found Pour un homme de Caron on their site for $90, which seems low.
Thank you, b100drunzcold. Much appreciated. I can place my order with confidence.Yes they're legit. They have a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Google with 71 reviews and photos of their shop. They're also on Yelp with a 4.5 out of 5 with reviews and pics. You could walk in to their shop if you were in Beverly Hills.
I have purchased from them before and the owner is a member of a very large facebook fragrance group. You have nothing to worry about.Thank you, b100drunzcold. Much appreciated. I can place my order with confidence.![]()
Thank you, StylinLA. I appreciate this. I did order a bottle last night, and am now even happier that I did!I've been to their store. They have a first rate location in the heart of the Beverly Hills shopping district. 100% legit for sure..
That Caron is probably the least expensive thing in the store. They mostly carry very high end niche scents- Xerjoff, Roja, Clive Christian, etc.
I'm not positive, but I believe they used to have a store on Wilshire that mostly carried older designer scents. It was across the street from the now closed Barneys NY. It was huge store with floor to ceiling shelves of all the older stuff I would kill to have now. When I first discovered Basenotes, i found that place and it was a treasure trove of everything I was seeing discussed here. It's where I first tried Kouros, Yatagan, Antaeus, Third Man and many others. It was also one of those mythical places that had old Creed flacons of everythng you could imagine. My guess is they lost their lease on Wilshire and when they relaunched store, they focused on high end niche in a smaller, but better located spot. Not 100% sure it's same owners but think so. It's one of the few competitors in town to Lucky Scent's Scent Bar.
I'm guessing @Oviatt remembers the old store on Wilshire...
It was quite a place. I need to make a visit to the current Beverly HIlls Perfumery and see if they are the same owners. Even if they are, to be clear the current store has none of the older stuff.Thank you, StylinLA. I appreciate this. I did order a bottle last night, and am now even happier that I did! That store on Wilshire sounds like the place of my fragrance dreams--literally! I've had multiple dreams of being in a perfume shop like that before I ever heard of this company. Their current location sounds like a dream too!
Thank you, enframing. Sounds like a fragrance lover's dream--and a lot of fun!Totally legit shop, I go there once a month or so. They do have some older perfumes, but they are expensive. They focus on niche/indie stuff mostly and have a good selection of that as well. The fun thing is they have an area of the shop with open testers of many older perfumes (some are old formula, some not) separated by decade and you can experience a large part of the history of the better known classics/houses there. It's a good time indeed. Alan, the guy who is usually there, is a wealth of knowledge. There's very little "selling" that goes on. I spent three hours there one day and felt no pressure at all to buy anything. I did buy something in the end.
