I don't quite understand your post, what you're trying to do, but I think you have probably misunderstood the point I was making. That thread on tobacco with all the discussion within it will necessarily be of more value to anyone reading (OP + anyone else) in the hope of gathering suggestions about what to buy/try than an arbitrary list by one user. See the post you quoted if in doubt about this.

If you take 10 users on this site and get them to rank tobacco-centric or boozy fragrances, you're going to end up with 10 different lists, with somewhere close to 10 different "best" fragrances, different assessments of what makes a good tobacco fragrance etc. Personal preference is what counts when it comes to such evaluation and thinking in terms of numbered scores, and unless the personal preference of two users aligns exactly (unlikely) then the benefit of suggestions is found in the total rather than the individual. From this, the OP/everyone can decide for themselves, rather than be told to defer to X user. Have a super day yourself!
HA! Well, I’m not getting roped in to one of your 5,000 word chapter and verse diatribes.

I will give you this - even though participating in this hobby is an infinite game, you are indefatigable when it comes to “winning” the forum. Does Grammarly give you a discount for your platinum level membership?

Well done.

What a strange response.

I appreciate both sides to that disagreement. I reckon if someone is known for expertise in an area, their opinion is worth listening to. Also though if loads of folks are suggesting plenty of stuff and you notice one scent in numerous suggestions, you would be more likely to want to sample that. Collective approach from gathering lots of info

Oh, Ombre Noire is a good suggestion. I never really think of it when I try to think of tobacco scents, but it's an interesting scent with the mint and cinnamon, and it has a distinct cognac note.

Pro tip: try emailing Lalique's customer service and asking where you can find samples for Ombre Noire, and take a look through their scents and see if there are any others of interest*. They're one of the few houses that consistently send out free samples on request.

*IMHO, it's worth sampling Encre Noire and its Sport and a l'Extreme flankers, Lalique White, Lalique Pour Homme, Perles de Lalique, Lalique Le Parfum, Hommage a l'Homme, possibly a few others.

With the cedar and incense, Ombre Noire feels kinda like a blend of Michael for Men and Gucci pour Homme 1.

Tabac Libre by Angelos Creations Olfactives is one of my favorite boozy tobacco fragrances. I also enjoy Tabac Dore by Bortinkoff so very much. It doesn't list any boozy notes, but it's so good it deserves mention and possibly a sample. Treacle by Pineward Perfumes is another amazing tobacco fragrance as well.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements has a seasonal Fall/Winter fragrance called Ciderhouse 5 which is good. It smells like a cider and cherry pipe tobacco with some ash/smoke in the scent. I think it's a nice, solid scent for that season.

So I sampled these and here's my thoughts

Naomi Goodsir Bois dAscese - really smoky, photorealistic campfire. Good for what it is and if that's what you want

Naomi Goodsir Or du Serail - Undisputably nice scent, fruity tobacco, just too feminine and too 'perfumey' rather than 'cologne' as ridiculous as that sounds.

CH Men Prive - nice whiskey and tobacco. Modern. I like it a lot

Pavillon Rouge - whisky. Meh, it's not great but certainly nothing offensive.

Candor 70s - Nice. 2nd favourite. The opening is a bit rough. However, give it a couple of hours and the tobacco and booze are both noticeable.

Lalique Ombre Noire - a bit too spicy. If they didn't put so much spice in it then it could have been really nice. I like the mint aspect.

I remember Joop! Homme Wild to be quite a good flanker, still in existance I think. Boozy tobacco scent, worthy of mention and very much off the radar. Of course it's not nearly "the best" of this type of fragrance, but still I think it deserves some attention.

No tobacco whatsoever. This one was claimed to be a sort of rum and coconut scent, but I found it to be heavily coconut. It reminded me of one of those coconut-scented suntan lotions. Got rid of it quickly.

Well, maybe something happened to it. I myself tried it some 10 years ago and not ever since. It reminded me of vanilla scented cigars back then.

Replica Jazz Club could also work. That should be easy to sample. It's not as heavy on pipe tobacco but it has that aspect.
Jazz Club is among the best as is Hawthorne Dark Suede. I would also recommend Santa Maria Novella Tobacco Toscano and Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Cuba. The latter two are masterpieces, hall of fame fragrances.
