LOL...I think you should do this experiment on your next visit to Japan, Cheetah... ;)

Those two fragrances are nuclear, "and" might be considered a "nuclear" threat in Japan, based on this conversation.🤣
My not be a safe place in the world if I went through with that …..except maybe at RA’s house! Lol
He seems to be able to appreciate and handle any amount of perfume in the air!

I wonder how many sprays of Interlude Man, or Mancera Red Tobacco RA would actully spray on himself if he ever chose to wear one of those? He might actually become radioactive with his spraying habits if he did wear one of them...LOL.🤣

Saw a package in front of my door via the outside glass one.
Thinking with glee.
Opened the inside door.
Two packages. One Home Depot. The other Addias.
Thought, "Oh, I forgot about those".
Oh well, the waiting continues.

I was curious and looked back at old purchase emails, and saw that the longest I’ve ever waited between purchase and delivery from ALD, was 13 days. I think today was 16, and who the heck knows how much longer, lol…….I’m guessing 24 days.

All I know is that I got kicked off a train, via looks (lol), for wearing a rather mild fragrance. Unfortunately for me that was the only fragrance that I decanted for that trip… but I learned my lesson. On my second trip, I didn’t wear ANY fragrance, but that was the trip that I found out about the tattoos.

I suppose everyone has their own experiences.

Hopefully they looked at you because you looked cool and smelled cool.👍
I often unconsciously end up looking at someone if they smelled nice or was wearing cool clothes.
Technically they would be more pissed at me for dousing myself with ALD since I can’t use the I wasn’t familiar with the culture excuse. XD
Japan relies heavily on public transportation system.
They can’t expect me and others to sacrifice their private enjoyment when trains and buses are the the main ways to get anywhere. Especially for visitors.
I would hope other Japanese would have such common understanding and tolerance to such minuscule things,
Just wanted to say you don’t have to respect our culture “too much”. XD
I’d rather guests to the country have a more enjoyable time than worrying about every tiny things.
Sorry if I derailed the conversation away from the new collection a bit. XD

All this layering talk got me into trying some combos as well, and my layering partner is Ajmal shams oud. Yesterday was Civet de nuit, which i still enjoy very much, and combo was excellent. Gives extra dimension to the scent and rearanges the notes. Takes away the bready note and shifts sweetness from honey like to amber.

Today its Cuir de Russie edt by chanel with oud, and its excellent as well, pairs quite a bit seamlessly.

What other classics pair well with oud?

I wear stuff under the clothes, so half spray of oud around belly botton, and other perfume to the chest, 1 or 2 sprays. By the time they hit my nose - they mix in a pretty good ratio.

I dont usually spray one on top of another, since clarity of notes can be distorted as a result, but i still perform direct layering from time to time

when spraying on top of each other, would you spray the stronger one first and the lighter one on top?

Also, Russian Adam describes the old school layering method in almost all of his application reels. Cultures have been doing it since beginning of time, if the notes like each other, I find that the process pretty much always works out.

Egoiste

Serge (which sometimes behave like ouds anyways)

The only brand that I consistently have problems with in terms of adding different ouds is EO.
