Acquired taste as in, W&P2 smelling like walking dead, or something just crawled straight out of the century-old rotten coffin covered in wild animal furs, and then accidentally tripped over a bucket load of Johnson &Johnson? 😝😂

It smells like Dracula’s bedroom… during the day… after he has tried to make it presentable for castle guests

You should get your nose on EO's Tigerwood PP, just to smell it once. To me, it is practically like having Gollum in a bottle. lol

I have never tried the first one but I have a decant of W&P2. It’s definitely an acquired taste.

I had W&P I and W&P II and Antiquity ,not my taste, just perfumes that were oddly interesting to smell as they were quite unique. Not something I would wear.

W&PII is Adam’s masterpiece. It’s his Mona Lisa. Taste is subjective, but I do love W&PII. Dracula….absolutely. Dry old varnished wooden church pews, crushed red velvet curtains covered in cobwebs. Vampires. Hell yeah!

It was confusing. There was an accord of ‘something isn’t quite right’ running through it…

At least one time, I changed my plans because of it. I didn’t want to wash it off but I didn’t want to go be around people either.

Does it smell like the Tigerwood oils he had/has? If so, I can see why it is a hate/love relationship for many, and the Gollum association.

The Tigerwood oil combined with a heavy dose of black ambergris is bit of a weird combo to me. lol

Even if I dont love W&PII, i really appreciate how daring it is. Thats when I love Adams work the most. I love it when Areej is challenging. Hope he will continue going down this road.

With W&P l, the oris is heavy in the opening stages.
W&P ll, I get this nice oily leather in the opening stages then the patchouli
mixes and shifts with the base notes.
I very much am pleased with owning a bottle of W&P ll.

I’m curious what’s the reasoning behind doing a massive wide release a month or two before the bottles are even ready to ship? I don’t speak for everyone here but I wouldn’t personally know the difference if he waited on a release date that aligned with the bottles arriving to their fulfillment centers on the same date the bottles were released to the public. Especially now that scalpers are already scalping bottles to people which this whole new system was supposed to be designed to curb scalping.

I just think if regular bottles shipped out a week after the sets things would make more sense. But now we have people taking advantage of this system because FOMO has taken over.
