Sounds like you’re over reacting a bit and throwing a fit. Everything is okay calm down.

There’s not enough bottles to go around but Areej Le Doré did everything possible to satisfy this community. They restricted Santal Galore purchase to 1 per persons and made 500-1000 bottles of everything else. They let the community vote on release day, release samples, and even a preorder.

What else do you want??? It’s like nothing Areej Le Doré does can satisfy you. Maybe it’s time to calm down.

I never said ALD did a single thing wrong so...not sure where you get that from.

if YouTubers can get bottles, I don't see why "we" can't. not me, but valued posters. Is BN is a good chunk of their business, hype, following? I feel like something can be worked out between us and the artists where we can buy a few guaranteed.

The only thing you can do is not buy inflated priced bottles.

Guys it's perfume, who cares? If you got diagnosed with having a year left until you die you'd probably never again think about ALD, Santal Galore, or eBay scalpers. None of this stuff really matters.

And yeah Strifeknot is the man. He really goes above and beyond for all of us who’ve missed out or not been able to afford a full bottle. And he’s just super cool to everyone.

Be careful...I thought 6 sprays of Grandenia the other day would be “light and airy” but it was pretty intense. Can’t imagine more than 2 or 3 sprays of AdN.

Looks like everything is on hold at the moment!

All the release 6 perfumes are now 'on hold'. Hope it's a website update issue and just musk lave is sold out and folks can still buy and enjoy the rest.

That's why everything is on hold.

They should probably send that out in e-mail too as not everyone uses IG. But that's not a bad strategy. Will give them time to get caught up on everything and sort it all out to minimize mistakes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve oversold a bunch of stuff or if they actually don’t know how much they sold. When I asked why I was charged for the right bottle but got a wrong receipt for something I didn’t order, I got a response that it was “probably just a website error” —- so who knows how many of those website errors they’re dealing with.

But wouldn’t it be great if they were going through and canceling scalper orders at the moment?

It doesn’t bother you that some longtime solid members of this community who actually contribute and are decent, generous people missed out on something they are passionate about because some d**k saw an opportunity to make a quick dirty buck? The more it works for them, the more it will happen until eventually you can say goodbye to Agar Aura, ALD, Dixit & Zack releases. Anytime something awesome comes out that’s even slightly limited it’ll be bought up and resold on eBay or this forum. All I’m saying is look at this release and how bad it was. It’s only going to get worse if the scalping continues. The website wasn’t crashing because of anything ALD did wrong. Go try and grab a PlayStation or Xbox from Bestbuy, Target, Sony during preorder, they will all crash. Too many people all at once. 75% of them reselling on eBay same day.

Anyway, I’ve said my peace, we will see how future releases go.

No it doesn’t really bother me. There’s a lot of things in life that can bother me right now but this isn’t one of them. I let the community get in my head way more than I should and at this point I’m just happy I got what I wanted.


Also the website crashed because it couldn’t handle the load of traffic. Could you point me to evidence of 75% of the perfumes being on eBay? There’s really 75 SG’s on eBay right now?

My friend was able to snag one of the sample boxes released last night. Would be cool if her order arrived before the site went back up, so she didn't miss out if something caught her fancy (SG aside)

I'm a longtime member and Areej lover. I have never missed out on buying a bottle from Areej on launch day over the last couple of years. Yeah it takes some work to keep refreshing the screen but I haven't missed out on anything that I wanted because of scalpers. I do sometimes buy backup bottles which I will either use or may sell for a profit in the future. Flippers who immediately try to sell items for double or triple the price are annoying but they have never prevented me from getting a fragrance.

I meant the consoles not the SG’s. But it will be interesting to see in a couple weeks.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the weird receipt Proust received. 2019 order for Walimah. Maybe they had something really strange happen where some orders were crossed with old receipts from last year.

I support what you are saying, and feel same way. My advise, just make sure you know who is who and do your part. Dont buy at inflated price, dont sell anything rare to these individuals. You got the power to see who is in their friendzone and what their ebay username is. Establish a ring of people of the same spirit and do business with them. As much as i wish we had true community of perfume lovers, there will always be these "bad bacteria" individuals that always spoil the fun and the game. They are too broke to play high stakes, so they cling to anything they can, just their mentality. Be above them.

I just purchased a bottle of Baikal Gris (my favorite ALD together with ML) for $375, about $150 above MSPR (IIRC). Was I ripped off? Did I do something bad to the community by supporting this "scalper". What if I told you he was a valued member of the community from whom I have purchased many bottles at reasonable prices. Is he obligated to sell Baikal Gris for its release price? Just curious what the rules are here....

I purchased a second bottle of Santal Galore BTW. I will do with it whatever I will do with it.
