Apparently Adam added extra deer musk to his 2 personal bottles, one of which (bottle #99) contained actual unfiltered musk grains.

Just letting everyone know that my bottle of Ottoman Empire arrived from DHL just now.
The sample I received from Areej le Dore , the split a I got from strifeknot here on basenotes, and the bottle match in smell an depth, PERFECTLY.
No differences what so ever.

The number of my bottle is #055 .
Oh my goodness it's gorgeous.
Couldn't be happier.
BTW, strifeknot has some Siberian Musk for splits.
Had to order a 10 ml.
Thank you all for being patient and tolerant with me.

As of today, my package is "on hold" in Portland. Next stop is my town. I hope this is normal and it will still arrive tomorrow like it's scheduled to, as I'm required to sign for it.

Has anyone else has experienced this w/ DHL?

With DHL Express, you can electronically sign for it.
Meaning, you can sign and release for it without being home.
You can also tell them where you want it left.
They also have things like, having the ability to let them know your gate number if you live in a gated community.
I would suggest you look at the options on your DHL tracking confirmation.
I've only had one time customs held my shipment for clearance through DHL
It came on time .
It should state if your package is cleared by customs.
I've had the best of luck with DHL Express.
If it's offered, that's what I chose.

Will take awhile to understand this, as it is very clearly a complex and evolving/living organism! I spritzed half of a spray on my forearm literally 10 mins ago and I'm surprised by the initial dominance of what I perceive as an anamalic note. Will check back once I've lived with it for awhile.

What kind of shipping did you pay for? If you payed cheapest amount, it could take about a month. The shipping for $45 was 3 days processing and 2 days shipping.

Personally, I would email Russian Adam and inquire about your order.

I paid for the cheapest shipping for my bottle of Ottoman Empire. Got an email from Areej le Dore that it would ship after Labor Day. Got a second message from Areej le Dore encouraging me to upgrade my shipping choice with the intimation that paying more for shipping would somehow offer more assurance that the package would not be lost, as if the package was lost they would not be able to send another bottle as Ottoman Empire was sold out. I though that was sort of ridiculous, as if the package was lost it really wouldn't matter how much I paid for shipping with regards to sending another bottle since they were all sold out. Then got a message from DHL on the 4th that the package would arrive on Wednesday the 6th, followed by an email from Areej le Dore apologizing for the delay in shipping. Package did arrive on Wednesday the 6th.

They were not being ridiculous, they were being honest. Items sent airmail from Asia are not tracked and do have a higher chance of being lost in transit.

What I found ridiculous was the statement that they could not replace a bottle that was lost as all the bottles were sold out. As I stated, any package can get lost so it really didn't matter what I would have paid for shipping (e.g. $45 vs. cheapest) if the package was lost the bottle would not be replaced regardless.

I see a couple of Areej le Dore bottles in the For Sales forum. If you're keen to get your hands on Siberian Musk, this is probably as good a chance as it gets. Do your research first if its going to be a blindbuy.

Yeah, i'm selling my bottle of Ottoman Empire there, anyway. Can't say I regret blind-buying it, I'm just not a big enough fan to justify keeping it. Though, I do appreciate the quality and the scent is nice enough, i'm sure someone else here will appreciate it more.

They (Russian Adam) does seem to have some strange 'policies' regarding shipping.

I ordered OE from him a couple of weeks ago, specifying and paying for the DHL delivery option and it arrived without issues (slight delay in shipping, but nothing major).

I've since ordered Oud Zen from him, again specifying the DHL option and have today received an email from him stating that he's shipped it via EMS as they've had issues with DHL shipments to the UK (still happy to charge me the DHL price though...)

All very random...
