Hi

I really want to get the The Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud, but I have now seen a Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud (without the Intensa)

The reason I like the Acqua Di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud is of course the smell but also for how long it lasts - well over a day.
Has anyone tried the Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud? does it also last a long time also?

Both have exactly the same juice! It was only a name change from AdP Colonia Intensa Oud Eau de Cologne Concentree to simply 'Colonia Oud' EDC C.
This is mentioned in other threads as well. No worries!

There is only one and it is fantastic. Perhaps they called it intensa first and now call concentree. Here it is.

It's the same juice from what I have been told. They rebranded it after clients were getting confused by the differences between Colonia Intensa and Colonia Intensa Oud.

I thought perhaps you had misread something (your first post here), but I just took a look at Barney's and you're right -- there's a Colonia Oud. Curious. Packaging looks identical to Intensa Oud... And what do you know -- Intensa Oud is gone from their site. They just dropped "Intensa" from the name it seems. Should be the same stuff.

I got the 6oz Colonia Intensa Oud version first. Then wanted to get some backup bottles of it. Ended up getting 2 more 6oz of the new Colonia Oud version. Only after finding out it was the same exact juice.

No deal, maybe if I waited I could of saved a few bucks. Solid fragrance, so didn't really mind paying for it.

Since this one has a half-life like deuterium, 18oz should last you a few lifetimes.

Everyone says its the same, but recently when i bought my bottle of Polo Supreme Oud, the SA gave me a ton of Acqua di Parma samples. I saw there was a few of the ADP Oud so i wore it one day. I have a bottle of the original "Intensa" version. I'm very familiar with its saddle leather, smokey oudness.....And the samples she gave me smelled a hell of a lot of rose in it.

I dont want to start a fire, but i'm definitely going to make a side by side.

I just sprayed from the sample that i received on one arm, and my personal bottle of the original stuff on the other arm.
I can't escape the fact that the sample smells more rosey for sure. The Intensa is exactl how i described it earlier, and what made me fall in love with it originally. The leather on the sample is turned way down, and there is some rose. Or what i'm perceiving as rose, or something floral.

maybe its just because its a sample? The kind they spray from the bottle into those cheap plastic atomizers.

All i know, is that i smell amazing right now lol

It’s an absolute monster and I use a couple of sprays and no more. That would last me a number of lifetimes.

I was under the impression that it was a re-branding only, that the juice was the same. As I own the original, I'll make a point of sampling the newer variant when I get the chance.

I own the newer version. Great fragrance! It was previously mentioned that the intensa version had rose or some sort of floral note. The first thing I recognized when I tried the newer version was floral notes in there. Haven't tried the intensa version to compare. Can't wait to get the Ambra edition (pre-ordered from Barney's) later this month.

Well, that's a bit of a let down... as long as the "rose" or whatever floral component isn't prominent. Anyway, now there's a "reformulation" thing to face once more. I really enjoy Intensa Oud... so I wonder if AdP is going to push their retailers to turn the stock over. Maybe some deals coming up? Hmmmm...
