Received this in email today. As some know, I love me Montale scents as they are strong, mysterious, have drama and are reasonably priced. I highly recommend this house. This advert gives a face to “Pierre Montale”. Real person, or like guy from Dos Equis commercials? Either way I love their work.

This is precisely why he created Mancera. Some of his clients didn’t want metal bottles because they wanted to know how much juice was inside.

FWIW the metal bottles are cheaper to make which helps keep costs down. Reportedly how the scents originally came in Middle East too (I cannot vouch for this piece of info tho).

The most interesting part is in the comments. Quite dodgy - and I'm still confused.

Nothing new, but still weirdly interesting.

Lots of dishonesty in the perfume industry. Made up history, lying about perfumers, ingredients, etc.

I'm always kind of surprised when a company with presumably sufficient resources can't get a decent English translation. "Subjugated by his infinite combinatorial properties ..."?

Personally I don’t like the brand. I instantly get suspicious whenever someone or something pretends to be something that they aren’t (French in this case).
