New fragrance launch by Sonoma Scent Studio

California based Sonoma Sent Studio have launched a new fragrance named Forest Walk. The fragrance was created as part of the Letters to a Fellow Perfumer series on the Nathan Branch Blog. The perfumer, Laurie Erickson, says “The project gave me the opportunity to work with black hemlock absolute in a forest scent, something that I had wanted to do for a long time. I love the smells of the forest and have fond memories of hiking and riding through the redwood groves in nearby parks.”

The new fragrance is said to be inspired by the scents of summer walks in the woods. It has earthy mossy notes to suggest the smells of the forest floor. It has notes of many different woods including – Oak, Western Red Cedar, New Caledonia Sandalwood, fir balsam and oakmoss. Other notes include jasmine sambac, violet, benzoin for its resinous properties, amber and labdanum.

The fragrance is available as an extrait in 34ml, 17ml, 5ml travel sprays, 2.5ml mini sample sprays and 1ml samples.
