October sees the launch of Le Snob: Perfume, the latest in the Le Snob series which has included guides to whisky, cigars and champagne. The perfume guide has been written by Dariush Alavi, though you are more likely to recognise his pseudonym, Persolaise.

Alavi aka Persolaise is a Jasmine Award winning writer and has written his own blog persolaise.com for the last two years. Alavi is also a regular contributor to Basenotes and trade-publication Esprit Magazine.
